Group Yoga Classes

Instruction takes the holistic approach of using breath and spinal movement in synchronization with every movement to facilitate less pressure on the physical structure, to increase comfort, range of motion, and mobility, and to support the function of the nervous system.

This is NOT westernized yoga that is devoid of mindfulness and spirituality and presents as a vigorous workout or a deep stretch.

​

The focus is on self-regulation of the nervous system, a connection between the mind and body, functional/somatic movement and the prescriptive use of the breath to be calm and rooted in the present moment.

 

Small class sizes in a private studio allow for personally tailored instruction and a safe, supportive environment.

 

Beginners are always welcome.

Yoga is not a workout. It's a work-in.
 

What to Expect at a Group Yoga Session

Come experience what yoga can do for you. Practicing this unique style sends a signal to every cell of the body to relax, calming racing thoughts and clarifying the spirit.

 

Classes are an eclectic blend of breath control, meditation, functional postures,

self-awareness, and divine connection.

This is a non-competitive and friendly environment that welcomes all people regardless of experience level.

​

Feel free to bring your own mat, but we do have mats, blocks, straps and bolsters. Wear comfortable clothes.

 

These small, friendly classes are held in a private studio in the Ballantyne area.

Being super flexible is not a goal of yoga. Being able to relax, tame your mind and manage your life force energy is.

 

Enjoy a therapeutic style of hatha yoga practices that uses the classical forms of postures as a starting point to make specialized adaptations that focus on alignment, breath, and movement.

 

With a goal of creating strength, suppleness, and ease in the body and mind, each class utilizes an array of yogic tools to deepen body awareness and foster relaxation in the present moment.
